[SOLVED] Zimbra Web Client 6.0.10 (AJAX) and cyrillic filenames in Briefcase

Hi all!

I'm using ZCS 6.0.10_GA_2692.RHEL5_20101215171125 CentOS5 FOSS edition.

After my yesterday's post about cyrillic file names in Zimbra Desktop I had discovered another problem.

When using ZWC AJAX interface, I can not download files from shared Briefcase, that have been uploaded (with ZVC AJAX) to the Briefcase, if the file name (or folder names, which are these files) contain cyrillic characters (error 404). Link to file in the browser address bar: 'http://zimbraservername/home/user@domain/Общий%20доступ/Отдел%20информационных%20технологий/Документация%20Zimbra.pdf?disp=a'.

At the same files and folders are displayed normally. And uploading files with cyrillic names in the Briefcase also goes well.

When working in the HTML version is no such this problem. Files have been uploaded previously via AJAX interface, is normally fetched.

I attach screenshots of the AJAX interface ZWC and error 404. I hope for help from the zimbra community.

I don't have any such problems accessing a file with cyrillic characters in it (see the screenshot below). You should give further information on the browser you're using and the locale in use (on the server and browsers) and whether you've tried other browsers.

You could also search the forums for some details on why the problem of downloading a file from the Briefcase happens. The likelihood is that you have a configuration problem and you should check the Split DNS article (specifically the 'Verify...' section) in the wiki for your DNS records and hosts file requirements. You should also check that your Public Service host name is set correctly (also search the forums for details on that).

BTW, this also works for me on ZD 2.0.1 - the filenames show correctly if I use Russian or English in ZD.

To work in Zimbra, I used HTTPS. But the server certificate was self-signed. Apparently because of this error occurred as described above. Because when I started using HTTP problem has ceased to appear on all browsers.

The problem was not in cyrillic!

Everything works fine!

PS. The problem with cyrillic characters in the ZD is not resolved.
