Default Mac Mail.app No red new mail notification in dock icon

Hello all!

I'm new here, so hope this is the right place to start this question..

On my work i'm the only Mac user.
We have installed the zimbra mail on my mac, what was a lot easier as on the windows.
So far so good...
For all mail coming from the zimbra server I don't get notifications in my dock icon.

What can be the problem?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Marco

Is Mail.app using IMAP to access Zimbra?

Is the mail, in fact, unread as far as Mail is concerned? There's a column for that called "Message Status"; the column header is a dot (•). Unread messages will have a dot in their row. If no messages show with a dot, then select one and do Message > Mark > As Unread. See if that gives you a notification flag in your Dock.

If it does, then I suspect your mail is being marked read before you read it in Mail. This could be a filter rule in Zimbra Web Client, or you may be accessing your mail in ZWC or by some other means before seeing it in Mail.
