Using an alias address as a sender address

maybe i cound not figure it out but what annoys me an all the webmails out there that they do not let you send emails form an alias address on yout account.

lets say my primary email in zimbra is: user@mydomain.com
i also have aliases like: sales@mydomain.com, press@mydomain.com.

how can i send an email form sales@mydomain.com?

i was looking in the compose window if i could choose somewhere the sender address but i could not find it.

i am running
zimbra 4.0.1
