Default Saving attachment in shared folder to briefcase

I have noticed in the web client that if you have a message with an attachment to it that is in a folder that has been shared to you, you do not get the option to save the attachment directly to the briefcase.

For an attachment in your own mailbox you get links for "Download | Briefcase | Remove". If the attachment is in shared folder you just get "Download | Remove".

I am having a difficult time determining if there is any good reason for why this feature would be missing. Given that you have permission to retrieve or delete the attachment, it doesn't make much sense that you shouldn't also be able to directly deposit the attachment in the Briefcase.

I have noticed this in installations running 6.0.8 and 6.0.9.

Most likely, you don't have access to the Briefcase of the user who shared the mail folder to you. Everything inside of a shared mail folder is done using the access of the account being shared, not your account. So a "briefcase" link on a message in a shared folder would link to the briefcase of the shared account.

In both our production server and a test server, the account (X) has Manage permissions on the target's (Y's) Inbox and Briefcase. X can transfer attachments in it's own Inbox direct to X's briefcase and Y's briefcase via a Briefcase link just fine. When X views messages in Y's Inbox, it gets no such Briefcase link for attachments.

i've found a work around but it's very annoying:

1 - open the message from shared email account;
2 - edit as new
3 - save as draft
4 - open the draft
5 - save in briefcase

but since it's a shared email account (account X) the attachments should be saved in the shared briefcase of account X. And from there they could be reorganized somewhere else.

I've also tried to share the briefcase of account X and assign administration permission on it but the link "save to briefcase" doesnt appear.

please help! thanks!!!
