Default Inbox Issue

Hello,

I am having some trouble with my Zimbra e-mail inbox. Within the last few weeks my inbox will now only show a few e-mails. I can no longer scroll through multiple pages of messages from various dates. Instead, I only have one page of inbox, and the number of e-mails keeps mysteriously shrinking without me deleting anything. I know the e-mails have not disappeared, because I can still search for messages from a certain person, and it will pull up all previous messages. However, this is somewhat of a pain...

Any idea what has happened? Is there some setting that is doing this that I can change?

Thanks.

Does it happen with newly received mails as well? I guess it won't. Or mails before a period of time?

I once got myself crazy with the same situation in my gmail inbox. I tried everything I could but no luck. Lets confirm .. you have any filters set? And have you in any chance accidently clicked a bunch of mails and dropped them to trash or any other folder of yours? I guess you've looked into these places.

Thanks for the reply.

This does not happen with "brand new" e-mails, but it has deleted, or at least hidden e-mails that were on the first page of my inbox which were only a week or so old.

I do not have any filters set, and yes, I have check the trash, etc.

Can you check your ~/log/mailbox.log for any warnings? Could be a corrupted index that is not showing the previous mails. Check for any warnings or errors.

If it is that you can re-index your mailbox after taking a full backup of your account (just incase something goes wrong). That can be done from the admin gui.

Okay, I'm running Mac OS X 10.5.8

I'm not sure if this helps, but my Zimbra account is in conjunction with Bandzoogle...

That doesn't tell us anything about the version you're using, login to your email account and enter the following in the search field:
Code:
$set:get version
Update your forum profile with the version information from that command.

There isn't likely to be much we can do about any problems you encounter, we have nothing to do with your email supplier and you normally have to contact them for support.
