Default Integration with Liferay Portal

I am trying to get Zimbra to work with Liferay Portal. For Liferay, I need to create a hook in Java to handle user management that is normally handled by the Zimbra Admin. Is there a way I can do the following actions from Java (or a system call):
  1. Add/Remove a User
  2. Add/Remove an Alias
  3. Add/Remove a Forward
  4. Add/Remove Vacation Message
  5. Update Password

Also, I need to be able to do this from any user.. not just the zimbra user account.

Default zmprov

Does zmprov do what you need?

Yes, that seems to solve many of the questions I had. However, I still do not know how to add a vacation message or forwarding addresses to the user's account. From my reading, it doesn't seem like the zmprov command handles that.

Also, where can I find documentation for all of the commands?

zimbraMailForwardingAddress and zimbraPrefOutOfOfficeReply are the account attrs. See admin guide zmprov usage info for setting multi-value attrs like zimbraMailForwardingAddress. See also http://svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/zi...ml?view=markup which has a little bit of docs on the attributes in the directory.

Default Integration with liferay portal

Hi,
I'm intergeting Liferay 4.2 and Zimbra.
They are deployed in two different machines.
I would like to try to use zmprov for my liferay-zimbrahook, but i was wandering if there is anything already provided by zimbra for remote call.
May I ask an example of hook, if you have done it?
Thanks,
Ilaria

Exclamation ZIMBRA with LIFERAY

Hi all,
how zimbra and liferay got integrated,
I deployed zimbra, and I am also looking to integrate it will some portal probably LIFERAY.

I want to integrate liferay in a way that only once's authentication occurs, i.e. SSO.

Please suggest me if SSO is possible B/W zimbra and liferay.

Regards
Adeel

Exclamation

Hi all,
well I am also working with the integration (SSO) with the zimbra.
Zimbra uses the LDAP server to store the User information, first it have to be synced with the user database of the liferay. When it gets synced the users from the zimbra LDAP can be imported in to liferay( I am not sure of liferay can use the same zimbra LDAP every time for the authentication).
Once Synced with the zimbra LDAP, the only thing left is the SSO.
I guess sun java opensso is required over here, but the question is how to make zimbra to authenticate the user by sun java opensso, achieving this will make the iframe of zimbra work in the liferay portal.

Previously in my portal I had the SSO adepter in my portal i.e. mail SSO adapters, Calender SSO adapter, they use to be configured with some of the parameters like port on which the web interfaces for these service are present etc, and SSO worked with those.
###############
SO any one with kind help???????
REGARDS
ADEEL

Search the wiki (or the forums) for 'preauth'.
