Question Forward e-mail with inline images, inline images no longer attached

Hi everyone

I have an e-mail from someone with a bunch of images attached as inline images.
They're displayed in the body of the e-mail, and also listed in the attachment "pane" at the top of the message window.

However when I click forward to forward the message to a new recipient, the inline images are removed from the body and they are no longer listed in the attachment "pane" at the top of the compose window.

I remember there were some bugs/discussions about inline images not being listed as attachments in the attachments "pane" in some earlier versions (6.0.5ish)
Is this a regression or a bug or the desired behaviour?

Or is it a one-off problem with this particular e-mail?

Cheers, B

Not sure if you have the same issue, but a case has been open for this...
This issue resolves around IOS devices and how they send inline images that zimbra can not forward.
Bug 61117 – Messages from mobile clients w/ inline attachment not displaying when forwarded
