Question Add Group as Attendee to Calendar Appointment

Hi there,

I am wondering if there is a way to have the members of a group show up in the "Calendar Schedule View" when adding a group in the "Attendees" section of a new appointment.

At the moment when adding a group this group is the only "Attendee" showing up in the "Schedule", which obviously doesn't help much...

Thanx for some hints ;-)

If you use a contact group, the group is automatically expanded into its individual members.

For actual distribution lists (as defined in Zimbra), I think you will have to wait for resolution of Bug 7554 - Cannot view distribution list members

Hi,

thank you for the quick answer. the bug you mentioned is Status: RESOLVED
Resolution: FIXED . Does that mean it should work now after update?

According to Zimbra Product Management Portal the fix will be included in ZCS 7.0, currently scheduled for general release in December. When Beta 1 is released, hopefully in a week according to the project management page, it should include the fix. So you could play around with that but I wouldn't use it in a production environment.

sorry that i wake up this thread,

but that doesnt work for me in 7.1.1. i cant expand distribution lists. neither when sending an email, nor when using the calendar. is there something special to configure?
