[SOLVED] Thunderbird and CardDav

Hi everyone

Does anyone know the status of CardDav support in Thunderbird?

Obviously the Lightning extension gives CalDav support but from my digging around in the Address Book bit of Thunderbird, I've not managed to find anything relating to CardDav.

There's a few solutions mentioned on this page... Sharing address books - MozillaZine Knowledge Base
But the idea of syncing a .mab file on a network share is pretty aweful

I've heard of Zindus but was a bit put off by some of the restrictions mentioned here... Zindus FAQ for Thunderbird contact sync with Zimbra

Anyone got any other ways to have their Thunderbird address books synced with Zimbra?
Until then I'll be patiently waiting for CardDav support in Thunderbird
