Default Delay outgoing email

Some of the users prefer that once the email is sent out, the email should stay in the outbox for x number of minutes before it's processed to be actually sent out. This is mainly because it helps give a 2nd thought to the email and "correct" any mistakes made.

MS Outlook allows defining a rule that allows delaying.
Google Labs has an option to do the same so that the send can be 'undone'.

Is there any equivalent facility in Zimbra that can be turned on so that the outgoing email can be delayed to be sent out of the outbox for x minutes?

Best regards,

Mitesh

This is not available, I'd suggest you search through bugzilla and vote for any RFEs that interest you.

Thanks. Will create a new RFE on this. Existing RFEs are to enable marking the email to be sent out on a certain day or time, what I am referring to is a user setting that allows all outgoing mail to stay in the outbox for x minutes before it can be processed for delivery to the MTA.

There's a Zimlet called "Undo Send" that does something like what you're asking, but I don't know if it can hold the message for several minutes. I haven't used it, and from what I saw in the preferences pane, the delay is for "seconds".

UPDATE: I've just checked. It doesn't go into the "minutes" range, it delays delivery for up to 20 seconds.
