Default inbound mail not going to inbox

Background: A user tried to move older mail from inbox to a newly created folder using a filter (preferences->filters). The user encountered the following error:

method: ApplyFilterRulesRequest
msg: system failure: Unable to evaluate script
code: service.FAILURE
detail: soap:Receiver
trace: btpool0-159://mail.xxx.com:450/service/soap/ApplyFilterRulesRequest:1277648884780:89cf83ff866c a71f
request:

Now, all the inbound mail is going to this newly created folder rather than to the "inbox".

What can be done?

One remove the filter!

Secondly confirm the mail fileter was constructed in this manor;

If ( Any ) of the following conditions are met:

(Subject; From) (Conatins) Email address

Perfrom the following actions:

(file into Folder)

Browse to the folder you wish to designate.
Un check do not process additional filters.

Please confirm this was the rule used. If you selected ALL email, then all email will filter into the specified folder.
