Default Can I create a 'NoSelect' folder?

Hi I'm playing w/ Zimbra. I wonder, can I create a 'NoSelect' folder in Zimbra (folder w/o messages, only subfolders)? How'd I specify it?

I have Zimbra 5.

Also if I have an existing IMAP account. How'd Zimbra treat a NoSelect folder?

Thanks.

Unfortunatly any folder you create dose not have a NO Select option. You can create a Folder and create subfolders with in it. However all folders are considered a clickable objects.

The 'noselect' Mailbox is an IMAP feature. See Spec:

RFC 3501 - INTERNET MESSAGE ACCESS PROTOCOL - VERSION 4rev1

(sections 6.3.4 - delete, 6.3.8/6.3.9/7.2.2-list)

So Zimbra does not support the IMAP 'noselect' folder feature?

Thanks.

Also, how does Zimbra treat *existing* IMAP accounts with 'noselect' folders?

Are existing 'noselect' folders from IMAP accounts treated just like other regular folders?

In all attempts to find a resolution to create a "no select " folder has been met with out success.

When i created a sub account to my G-mail mailbox using IMAP i was able to create folders however, if i wanted to i could drag messages, documents and contacts to them.

Messages do not go directly into these newly created folders unless i establish a client side filter or rule.

Even with the extensiveness documentation provided, and replicating this is several other mail clients, all folders that have been created have the ability to have data transferred to them.

So please educate me as to how a No Select folder is created and in what client are you using to perform these actions?

Thank you and best regards.
