Default What app do you use?

Hey,

Im kinda wrestling, I'm working at a MacBook Pro and im searching for a good combination of apps. I dont like mail from Apple, I tried Postbox and I've always used Thunderbird before. The last month I've use Zimbra Desktop, but it sucks it's based on java, which means the interface is slow.

I also tried Thunderbird with Lightning, but it doesnt work that good too, im just looking for a good combination of apps and it would be best if all the apps were combine in one app.

So what apps are you using to manage all?

Hey,

Yeah, I did try it, but it gives me all sort of crap.. When I resize the columns the border of the header is somewhere else then the real border between the colums is. When I resize it on max monitor width, I get a horizontal scrollbar, when I first resize the columns and then resize it to fullscreen there is no the border/header problem again. It sucks up 220mb of ram while Tbird only uses 80mb.. and then again, JAVA is slow..

We use only the web interface and find it quite sufficient.
What is it you are after specifically that a web-based solution wont give you?

Well, webbased sucks to, I constantly have to have my browser open and cant work as efficient with a dedicated programm, I'm at OSX so when it's in browser I have to click a few times before I open the right window.

Thunderbird is ok for now, but in Lightning I'm missing some options..

You can (with chromium/chrome/iron) setup a dedicated window/app for the ZWC.

What about Firefox/Prism for your 'dedicated' app?
