Default Saving your view

I have searched the Forums for issues with saving a given mail view but didn't find anything so I thought I would drop a suggestion.

After logging into the web interface you have a couple of options to change the way mail is presented. The ones I change (every time after I log in) are the "view by message" and sort by ascending date. This gives me a preview window of the message and the latest message right above the preview window. However, as soon as I log out and log back in I have to reset these each time.

Is there a way to save a specific view on a per user basis?

You can change the default view from conversation to by message using the options. As for the sorting I'm not sure.

Ok...I found in the admin area where to change the default for message viewing, however, I would hope in the future that this option would be available in the user interface vs. the admin interface. I can only imagine rolling this out to 500 users and having to administratively change the view for each users preference.

It's on the 'Options/Mail/Group mail by' page at the top in the users options screen.

Found it. Thanks again. BTW...I often misplace my keys as well. :-)

Will try and post the ability to maintain a view to include sort order to the developers forum as a suggestion.

Bugzilla would be the place for enhancement requests, I don't know if that ones been requested already but do a search first just in case and don't forget to vote on it.
