Default Zimbra signing out...randomly

This is my first post, forgive me if this is the wrong forum...

I am having problems with Zimbra on Mac OS Safari 4.05.

Sometimes, it will randomly just sign me off, even when I am in the process of writing an email.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I had this issue come up for me as well. So i tested to see if Zimbra would work with any other browser on my MAC OS X. I found that Zimbra worked fine on Google Chrome and on Firefox with their most updated versions.

Since then i have not used Safari.

Hope this helps.

That sucks, because Safari is my main browser...

I actually had a windows user report this happening to him recently (using firefox I believe). I couldn't find anything in the logs and couldn't reproduce it and hadn't had any other reports so I pretty much hit a dead end.

Strangely enough, it doesn't happen consistently.

Sometimes, I can be logged in for hours at a time, and sometimes it logs me off after 10 minutes...

I've been trying to keep two Zimbra sessions going to see if that helps, and so far it doesn't seem to log me off... I don't like having two sessions going though.

I'm a safari user too, and it seems like the problems got worse after 4.0.5.

I cannot reproduce the problem.. It's not the same screen as a "user has logged out" page, it looks more like the user is locked out (maintenance mode maybe?) but without any error message. The problem occurs very random, sometimes while I'm actively using ZCS, other times when I'm away from the computer. It's always frustrating, to say the least :|

..and that's my 2 cents.

i understand this is defeating the purpose or potentialy looking for a resolution, but i instaled the Zimbra desktop ( for mac). Unfortunalty i was unable to replicate using the desktop version and any of the browsers listed;
Chrome
Safari
Firefox

My question is do you believe this could be a connection issue? i have notcied with MAC PRO's that if connection is temporarily lost, (wirelessly) the machine will sometime remove you from a browser. However you will see an error stating the connection has been lost. i did notice this does not display in Safari.

This started happening recently for us. Unconfirmed bug at Bug 47094 – Safari is randomly logging users off
