Default Can't delete file in Briefcase

Curious one this;

There is a file in one of my Briefcase folders (bookmarks.html, the bookmarks from FF to import into another browser) and I can't delete it! I get a 'File with that name already exists' error (see attached). Have tried through WebDAV but same result (presumably it the same SOAP call).

Anyone got any ideas?

I just want to get rid of it, so is there a CLI option or anything?

Thanks,
Jon

This may help. As zimbra...

zmmailbox -z
mbox > sm <mailboxname>
mbox > search -t document <part of document name>
mbox > deleteitem <numeric item id of document you want to delete>
mbox > exit

Thanks, that resolved the issue for one go.
When uploading a file with the same name again, the error re-occurs...

I actually understand this now... Having just logged into the thin version of my install from iPhone i noticed a trashbin under Files which was not visible under the full Ajax version which holds the old file. In this frame, the error message makes sense

You are quite right, feisch, I'd suspected that was the case but as there was no 'Trash' for Briefcase visible I'd just thought of waiting the 30 days for the trash to empty and seeing then.

Incidentally, deleting from standard/HTML client did not complain like the AJAX one. Presumably because it's a bit 'dumber' and won't check for pre-existing file names in the same way.

So, how do we stop this recurring? Is there a 'delete immediately' option, like shift-del/shift-drag-to-bin?

This RFE may be of interest: Bug 28131 - No trash folder in Tasks, Calendar, Documents, and Briefcase.
