Default I don't understand some options.

I don't understand the some user options :

1. "If I send a message that I then receive:".
2. "Use the Global Address List when autocompleting addresses:"

Who could tell me how to understand them?

Thank you very much.

Hi sshgz,

How are things going? Did you ever get that search builder thing fixed?

Anyway, let's say that you have a distro list like: everyone@domain.com, and you're included on the list. The e-mail will be sent to you, but how do you want zimbra to respond to that?

Receive as normal?
CC or BCC?
Ignore it

Just a neat little feature.

What is the "distro list"?
What is the "everyone@domain.com"?
Could you resolve it in detail.

A distribution list is a feature of zimbra.

You can set them up in the Administration Console.

A distribution list is an e-mail address list at your domain. Let’s say your domain is domain.com, and you want to create a list that has all of your web developers. We’ll call it dev@domain.com

You can add their accounts to the distribution list, and all e-mails that go to that account (dev@domain.com) get sent to the recipients on the distribution list (all of the developers on the list).

I create a account "test5@localhost.localdomain" and a distribution list "dlist3@localhost.localdomain".
I have set the option ("If I send a message that I then receive:") of "test5@localhost.localdomain" is "Ignore it".
When another user sent a message to "dlist3@localhost.localdomain", and the "test5@localhost.localdomain" can receive the message.

Is it right?

This means when composing a new message, instead of just auto completing based on your personal address book, ZCS will also look for contacts w/in the GAL for you to choose from.

Dont know what the GAL is? Search for it w/in the Help system in your Zimbra Web Client

I set the option is "Ignore it", so the user "test5@localhost.localdomain" should not receive the message.
But now the user "test5@localhost.localdomain" has received the message.
