Default Help whitelisting one SMTP server

Hey All,

I have basically all the possible spam checking rules turned on in my system as my CEO complains vociferously about spam (bug surprise there). However avis is unable to email reservation confirmations to me and I need to whitelist or unblock that server. Here is the log snippet:

NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from ccrgws006.cendantcarrental.com[170.225.0.208]: 554 Service unavailable; Client host [170.225.0.208] blocked using dnsbl.njabl.org; open proxy -- 1153750086; from=<avisreservations@avis.com> to=<lmcdonald@southerncarehospice.com> proto=ESMTP helo=<ccrgws006.boulder.mebs.ihost.com>

Is there a way to do this without turning off dnsbl? Also I think it would be kick axe to have more control over this through the admin gui...but that my two cents.

Thanks,
Bill

Looks to me like you have added the dnsbl check to smtpd_recipient_restrictions. Just add a check_client_access with access table that whitelists the IP address before the dnsbl restriction. There is extensive postfix docs on this. Make sure that you reject_unauth_destination, and then check for whitelist after that - otherwise you will be an open relay for the whitelisted host.

http://www.postfix.org/uce.html#smtp...t_restrictions

Note that in Zimbra we specify all the restrictions in smtpd_recipient_restrictions (as opposed to smptd_client_restrictions) so envelope addrs, even on reject, are in the logs.
