Default How to undo default action on attachment selection

Hi,

I mistakenly set "save" and not "open" for Word .doc when clicking on an attachement.
Also I selected "Do not ask me again ...."

How can I undo the "Do not ask me again ...."

Thanks,
Arnolds

Go to your browser Preferences/Applications (for Firefox) and reset the default behaviour, this isn't a Zimbra problem.

Unfortunately it did not resolved the issue. I have IE7. I reset Factory (Tools->Internet Option-> Advanced -> Rest) settings, but still DC on attached .doc in Zimbra Desktop, opens form to save file and not open it in WORD.

I don't use IE and offhand I don't remember where that setting is located, you'll have to do a google search for details on how to set the preference.

For problem definition accuracy, I am trying to get back the pompt with :
"do this automatically for files like this from now on"

So I can decide if to download or open the Word document.
Currently it always downloads and does not provide a pop-up prompting me to select open or download.

I am have Internet Explorer 7 as my default browser.

I understand exactly what you're trying to do and as I've already said, I don't have access to a version of IE at the moment and you should do a google search to find the answer to your question - this is not a Zimbra problem.

I have sent many hours seaching google today, and most suggestions are:
Tools->Folder Options ->File Type-Advance and
They have not helped.

I have also found some references to FireFox, but I do not have Firefox installed.
Thanks,
Arnolds

I have the exact same issue. I've selected "always do this automatically for files like this from now on" and want to undo this choice. I run both IE and Firefox with Firefox being my default browser. I am not convinced that this is an IE problem. Any suggestions?

Firefox is easy:
Tools/Options (or Edit/Preferences for *NIX users)/Applications
Find 'Microsoft Word Document' and change the behaviour to 'Always ask'

IE is more of a problem; I can't find any options for file behaviour in 6, 7 or 8! (you don't seem to get the check-box in 8, so maybe someone in Redmond thought it wise not to let people do something they couldn't undo?). Will keep trying.

I use Zimbra Desktop and have the same problem.

My browser is Google Chrome.
I have been tying to find a fix for weeks now but no luck.

Does anybody have any idea on how to resolve this issue?

Many Thanks.
