Default Paging webclient does not work in ajax

I recently installed a server with zimbra 6.02 network edition. When the users opens his mailbox, all the mails are in 1 page. with 500 and more mails this becomes problem.

When i switch to the html version the paging is work, but with ajax it doesn't.

Any suggestions ?

I have the same issue. Is there a way to get the paging back?

I have users who when they delete email 499 and click on the 500th email it refreshes to the top. Which is annonying for the user to scroll back down to the 500th email.

Is there a way to get the paging back?

According to your profile you're on 5.5.10 but I guess from your problem description you're on something other than the most recent release of 6.x - is that correct? If it is you need to update to the most recent release or you might like to wait a short while and get the 6.0.5 release.

No, there isn't. You could reduce the number of messages in the display and use the scroll function or show your users how powerful the search function is.

I had this in the previous versions of zimbra (i have 2 servers with the 5.0.18 version). So in the 6.0.2 version this feature is removed or is it a bug that will be fixed later on ?

phoenix I updated my profile. We upgraded our Zimbra in december to Version 6.0.4_GA_2039.RHEL4.NETWORK Dec 14, 2009.

I am a bit confused. Maybe you can explain. But this is what is irating our users.

User has a 100+ emails, user scrolls all the way down and double clicks on an email (users not using preview pane) email opens up (not in new window) user decides to delete email. email list is shown again down area their last were at. once user clicks on a message it shoots them back up to the top.

Is this a bug that is fixed in 6.0.5?

Using the scroll to move down the page is the current functionality, it's by design.

Your initial post said it was the same as the o/p problem but your last post describes something different from the original problem.

When you delete a message you should be returned to the next email (before or after the deleted message depending on the user Preferences/Mail setting) and it should stay there. What you're experiencing sounds like a bug and I'd suggest you file a report in bugzilla (don't forget to vote on it and raise a support case to add to the report), search first to see if it's been reported (I couldn't see anything after quick search) and post the bug number here for posterity.

I have similar problem with paging. Difference is only in fact, that there is arround 2000 emails in inbox, but paging options show only 1200. When the user scrolls down all the time (I know, that search function is effective, but user does not remember any keywords, so has to scroll down), arround records 800+ it stucks and refreshes a couple of screens before in circular manner, not moving down the last shown email. May be it is some how connected with indexes of the mails? Tried to rebuild index, but the feeling is that it didn't went through successfully. Although - no error messages in logs.
