Default special characters in search?

Hello...

How are special characters handled in web GUI search interface??

They seem to be ignored...

Is there a way to escape these??

i.e. how do I search for messages with "[my-list]" in the subject?? and not get things with just "my" and "list"??

Thanks!

Default

This is because of the way that Lucene indexes things: it strips out non-
ascii characters before putting things into the word list. So "[my-
list]" ends up being indexed as "my list". The only solution would be to create a filter and tag the item.
