Default can't access admin console

Hi, I just installed the open source rpm and the servers seem to have started. I can't seem to access the admin console though, either from the computer itself or from another computer.... i'm doing https://ip address:7071/, and I've forwarded both https and port 7071 to this pc (it's behind a router), but nothing comes up... how can I access it locally? I tried 127.0.0.1:7071, but no luck there either. I had apache (httpd) running, but the install guide suggested that I shouldn't have it running so i turned it off. Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi,
The actual address is
https://hostname.domain.com:7071/zimbraAdmin or
https://ip:7071/zimbraAdmin

Good luck!

so you can access the web client ok? but this doesn't work on the server itself: "https://localhost:7071/"?

what is the result of running this on the server:

su - zimbra
zmcontrol status
openssl s_client -connect localhost:7071

The error that denied yot to acces your mailbox or to adminUI is that tomcat and zmsaslauthdctl are not running
what is in the zimbra.log when trying to restart the services

When I did a "zmcontrol start" I could access the admin console, but after a few hours it stopped working - "zmcontrol status" showed that:

zmclamdctl, tomcat, and zmsaslauthdctl were not running.

why do they keep shutting down?

Thanks,
Imran

Default tomcat keeps shutting down...

Hi,
I've installed zimbra, but it keeps going down after a few minutes:

zmclamdctl, tomcat, and zmsaslauthdctl are reported as not running when i do a 'zmcontrol status.'

any ideas why they keep shutting down?

Thanks,
Imran

Can you post your log?
/var/log/zimbra.log

and
/opt/zimbra/log/zimbra.log
