calendar not warning about double bookings

I am running 5.0.18_GA x86_64 on Red Hat 5 final (currently 5.4).

We are having a calendaring problem:

1. Schedule an event for say, two weeks in the future: 1:00pm on Tuesday, lunch for an hour duration.

2. In this week, schedule a recurring appointment for Tuesdays at 1:00pm

There is no warning that you've double booked a recurring meeting.

- Does anyone know (or can you confirm) if this still occurs in 5.0.21?

- Does anyone know (or can you confirm) if this occurs in the latest 6.0.x branch?
