Default [SOLVED] ZCS 6.04 admin console failed to display text fields.

Hi,

I've recently upgraded our mail server from ZCS 6.01 to ZCS 6.04. All seems to be working well until this morning when I login to zimbra admin console, it only displays the logo. After loading the page nothing happens. It just shows the logo. I've tried restarting the server twice. Still no luck. It doesn't happen during the previous version ZCS 6.01. I have attached a screenshot of the problem. My browser is Firefox 3.5.6. I've tried it with I.E 8.0 but still the same.

Can I downgrade it to ZCS 6.01 or 6.03, or overwrite it with another installation of the same version of 6.04. I'm using Ubuntu 8.04.3 Server. Please help...
Tnx.

Have you tried clearing the browser cache?

Yes. I even use it in a newly installed google chrome browser. Before it happens I was editing the logo trying to customize it a bit using the Powered by Zimbra logo instead. (I was aware with the terms and conditions of changing the logo in the open source edition). I do keep the original dimensions of the logo too.

Also, I change the splash screen title Collaboration Suite to Web Mail Client. from ZmMsg.properties under the folder /opt/zimbra/jetty/webapps/zimbra/WEB-INF/classes/messages.

Everything is working fine until the next morning on the following day. So, I revert back all the changes I've made and paste back the original files then restart the server but then its still the same.

I've been doing this customization since 5.14 and 6.01 and all goes well.

Hi,

The issue was resolved by reinstalling Zimbra ZCS 6.04. I guess I've messed up too much on the ZmMsg.properties. Its easy to reinstall since our users were less than 100. One hour of downtime will not be an issue. Anyway thanks.

I'm having the same problem myself after an upgrade to 6.0.5 last night. Reinstalling for us isn't really an option -- too many users and too much downtime.

I'm not sure what to do at this point.

We haven't made any changes to the splash screen; it's just stock Zimbra NE 6.0.5.

It's as if there's some sort of lock file or variable setting that's maintaining state so that admin Web interface logins fail. We've tried different browsers, different OSs/machines, and even restarted the Zimbra server to no avail.

I don't know if it's related or not, but the Firefox javascript error console says:

Error: this.mDownBoxAnimate is undefined
chrome://browser/content/tabbrowser.xml Line: 3179

That line is

this.mDownBoxAnimate.style.opacity = percent;

mailbox.log shows this entry and just sits with no subsequent requests.
