Default Automatic account on reply to a sent email.

Hello,

I don't know if this is a bug or it's just not implemented.

Sometimes I use the reply function on emails I have sent and zimbra correctly selects as destination the same as in the sent email instead of myself but I would like it to also automatically select the correct account the same way it does when I reply to an email I have received according to the alias the email was sent to.

Thank you.

I'll move this to the correct forum as it doesn't relate to Zimbra Development, which was where you posted.

This is the type of question you could have answered by searching the forums first. The feature you need is Persona, go to the user preferences and modify it there. Search the forums for some further details on how to use it.

I have seached the forums but I couln't find a solution for my problem

I have configured multiple personas and they work correctly when replying to emails from the inbox. The problem come when I get to this situation:

I have a main account, a@a.com, and an alias, b@a.com.

If I receive an email from 00@00.com to b@a.com and I select reply it works fine and uses b@a.com persona. The problem appears if I then select reply on the email y just sent, in the sent box, which is a reply itselt from b@a.com to 00@00.com. It correctly puts 00@00.com as destination but it uses my main account, a@a.com, instead of b@a.com which is the one I need to use in that case.

Thank you.

I suppose my question would be, why would you want to reply to a mail that's in your Sent box and that you sent? If you want to send the email again then you should use 'edit as new' option and set the persona you want. If you think this is a bug then please file a bug report in bugzilla. AFAIK, the persona does not work on the Sent mailbox.

The main reason for this situation is for adding a comment or additional information to someone I just emailed before I have received his reply.

OK, then I'd suggest you file an Enhancement (RFE) request in bugzilla. As I mentioned earlier, you can manually select the Persona you want to use at that point but if you want it automatically selected then an RFE is needed. Please search bugzilla first to see if anything has already been filed for this type of feature.
