Default Connection error with Zimbra server.

Hi,

When i login to webmail advanced version, I found I have connection to server error. I can not open any messages and attachment. It prompts me that the is error connection.

Below is the error messages:

Can not connect to server:
msg: can not connect to server
code: EMPTY_RESPONSE
Method: SearchConvRequest

May I know how to fix this issue?
I'm using Zimbra Open Source version 5 and the zimbra server is setup in a server with Quad Core Processor, 4GB memory and 160GB hard disk

Does it do this for every account? Any computer accessing it?

If you have a Firefox install with Firebug or Google Chrome you can try getting the cid attribute of the request and then seeing what you get from running it locally on the server with the following command:
Code:
zmsoap -z -m user@domain.com SearchConvRequest cid=-12667

It happens when my users access the webmail out of office.

may i know what do you mean by 'Any Computer accessing it?'

I mean do you get this error from many different computers or just one. Since you said "users accessing from outside the office", my guess would be yes.

In the SOAP request there is a cid attribute. To see this though you would need to be using Firebug inside of Firefox, or Chrome's Developer Tools.

I have tried with firebug and get cid=44150.

but this time, I get

Can not connect to server:
msg: can not connect to server
code: EMPTY_RESPONSE
Method: GetMessageRequest

when I tried to open a selected message

Now that you have that cid, could you run the command I posted earlier? (Might as well also run it with GetMessageRequest as well as SearchConvRequest just to compare the two)

For your information, it looks like the problem occurs intermittent.....

Whenever you have the problem, run this command using the latest extracted CID. You can run it now also with the old cid, it should show you the 'conversation' results.
