I'd also like to throw in a request for this feature. I actually use an account provided by my college that forwards email wherever I want. I find it extremely useful because I can't find a satisfactory webmail service and switch all the time, but I don't have to hand out a new email address to everyone because I just give them the college alum account address. And I also use other aliases that I hand out to various websites. So being able to send as any account you own is very important. One implementation I've seen that is rather nice is the ability to set preferences on a folder by folder basis. So I can assign a from: address to a folder, and then when I start a new message from within that folder, that from: address is used. The Inbox acts as the default, so whatever I set there is used unless I've specified otherwise in the other folders' preferences. It becomes very powerful when used in combination with a set of filters to send mail for specific aliases to specific folders. And, of course, when replying to or forwarding an email, it's nice when the from: address picks up the to: address in the original email, if it's available.Originally Posted by ZCSForumTH
One more request would be the addition of the preview pane to the list of mail in the folder. So that clicking on a message immediately loads the message into the preview pane, instead of having to double-click to load the conversation view. I can see how it would interfere with the conversations, so it probably requires a bit of thought about implementation, but it's something I found myself wanting when using the demo.
Overall, very impressive. Thanks for the great work!
