Default How do I do an email merge with the webclient?

Frequently we do email mail merges from office, where we have a typed letter in ms word with a few merge fields, then have an excel spreadsheet as the data source that contains the merge fields and the email addresses.

Can we do email merge with the Zimbra webmail client?

or at least similar if not the same process?

Office 2003, perfer not to use Outlook.

Thanks

I don't understand. I have the data I need, both the text of the message and the email addresses. What I don't have is the method. Word expects a MAPI email client.
I understand that Thunderbird is possible to use. Is there a zimbra MAPI equivalent? I don't want to use Thunderbird, I'd prefer to use just webmail.

You'll have to continue using exported data in a spreadsheet, you can't use the Web UI because it's not a MAPI client it's a web browser.

Bill,

Does that mean that you can't use the Web UI from within Word? I would expect that. However, the original question was about sending merged emails.

We have the same need. We would like to define a template and have Zimbra read in some data from a CSV file and replace fields in the email. This would be better than sending to a big dist list because we could personalize each email (Dear Tom, Your company, XYZ corp, could use our services to...., etc. ). Is that possible inside or outside the web client?

Thanks,
