hi all,

i have this strange problem with autocomplete feature:
one day i send an email to a non existent contact
(it was a wrong typing issue, non existent brawn@usa.net instead of the right brown@usa.net)

from now, all the times i begin writing br, zimbra proposes brawn@usa.net and brown@usa.net.

and often i send email to the non existent one..

To delete wrong contact I searched in contacts, emailed contacts, shared contact, but i cannot find where brawn@usa.net is located.

Any idea on how to delete suggested wrong contact?

scuse me for the late response, but i've had some other urgent problems to solve.

So,
as i've not another zimbra 6.01/6.02 to verify, as i cannot test online demo cause it is not possible to send/receive email,
i cannot understand if it is a zimbra bug, a possible improvement, or if it is a server problem.
my opinion is that it is a minor zimbra bug, that sooner or later should be solved.

zimbra 6.02 OSE works on a ubuntu server 8.04 amd64 lts

Did you ever open a ticket for this? I think I'm seeing the same thing. Phantom auto-complete addresses which don't show up in the address book. I'm still figuring out exactly how to reproduce it but it might be related to something I discovered from researching this:

Hi all,
if it could help,

1. I did not asked to open any ticket cause it was not so severe to me..
2. For my case, i give you the howto reproduce problem: send email to a non exixtent contact, next time zimbra begins to propose also non-existing contact mail (also after deleting any eventuality from emailed contacts, contacts and shared contacts)
3. workaround (but obviously this is not the solution): in my case, i suggested my customer to send some fake email to the right address, just in order to 'float' the right address on the wrong..
from now he will send email to the one is higher in the autocomplete list
