Default User preference - Set Number of Messages to Display

I can't seem to find as to where a user could set the number of messages to be displayed. I have look at the preferences but can't seem to find it.

Can someone tell me if the feature exist in user's preferences.

You don't have that option any more, nor do you need it. You also don't have the fwd/back buttons, all you do is scroll down the page and it will be refreshed - see image below.
