Default Mail Filter - Mail Stays in INBOX

Hello,

I just upgraded to 6.0.2. After doing/running Mail Filter on specific message the email still exists both on the destination folder and the inbox. Or I may say it doesn't move the mail from inbox to the destination folder but instead just duplicates the email.

It doesn't duplicate the email you just see it while it's unread because that's the initial filter in your web UI view. Once it's marked as read you should not see it in the initial view.

BTW, you've posted this in the Zimbra Desktop forum and I guess you want a ZCS forum so I'll move it for you.

Hi Bill,

Thank you for your quick reply. The email message I am running the filter against is already marked as read. Even if you refresh the page both message are present in the inbox and the destination folder.

This was not the behaviour when using 6.0.1. Emails are successfully moved to the destination folder.

To be detailed about it

I have existing messages in the INBOX all are marked as read
Created the destination folder
Created a filter
Run the filter against INBOX folder

Result: message is present both in INBOX and destination folder.

My Experience o So far on using this mail Filter is that this filters do not work as it should.E.g.I am now on 6.0.2 But Most of the time Filters do Not work. Not even as mentioned above as Being present in INBOX & Destination.I Use File to Folder for a conditions that match .

When The Filter is executed for messages in Inbox at a later date this is what has been found to happen that the message would be in In box & new folder as defined in Filter Rule.

Please file a bug report in bugzilla and post exact steps to reproduce and details of your filters - you can get the exact filters if you dump the user account details with zmprov.
