Default How to change default new compose account?

Is there a way to change the default account that appears when you send a new e-mail from the Primary Account, to a different external account?

I want to be able to setup zimbra as a collaboration suite that checks our external mail accounts. However, I would like outbound e-mail to only be sent using the external account. Hopefully this description isn't too confusing. Thanks.

Look under User Preferences/Accounts/Persona.

I see those options, but when I compose a new e-mail the "Primary Account" is set as the default account. I want my external account to show as the default account, so I don't have to change it everytime I want to send a message.

Look further down the Persona settings page for options to set the Persona automatically.

I logged into my account on the Zimbra server. I went to Preferences>Accounts and I do not see anything talking about setting a Persona Automatically. I am running Zimbra version Version 5.0.18_GA_3011.UBUNTU8.NETWORK.

That should have read on the Persona settings page - it's called:

Code:
Use this persona: When replying or forwarding messages sent to:

Ctrader are you trying to make it use the persona automatically when replying to another message, or always no matter what? (IE you begin writing a new message you want it to send using the persona)

Yes, ArcaneMagus. When I start writing a new message I want it to send using the persona I want (ie my external persona). The other option that is for replying and forwarding messages sent using this persona works fine. However, I want to be able to define what persona I want to use by default for New messages.

As far as I know this isn't currently possible, you can try submitting a RFE.

Would you mind explaining what your use case for this is? Normally if you are logged into Zimbra you would want to use Zimbra to send mail... I don't think anybody has tried to set an external account as the default account for everything before.
