Default View User Calendar Without Information

When sending an appointment request, one can typically see the busy times o the person being invited. Is it possible to see this as a calendar?

The problem with the current shared calendars is that they grant the person access to see the events. I only want people to be able to see that I have that time blocked (as a caledar view).

FWIW, plain Apple iCal offers this when publishing to a WebDAV server.

Cheers,
Matthew

There is a Free/Busy URL you can use to get this in standard Internet Free Busy format. What client are you trying to use to display this information? The URL we produce works perfect for Outlook. We've not tested with any other clients though.

I'd like to know the answer to this. I'd like to share my calendar with several people on the zimbra server, but I really only want them to see my free/busy times, not the actual event.

http://domain.com/service/pubcal/fre...ct=user@domain

when added as a remote calendar, doesnt seem to work.

Any ideas?

Default Don't share the calendar

All users are already privy to your free/busy information without you sharing your calendar with them. If that's all the info you mean to share, don't bother doing anything else.

To test this, start to create a new appointment and switch to the Schedule tab. As you add attendees, you'll see their free/busy info appear in the view regardless of their calendar-sharing status.

I know, but that particular view isnt very helpful, I can only look at one day at a time.

I'd like to have a shared calendar type of free/busy overlayed over my existing calendar, so that I can see a week, or a month at a time, to plan meetings etc.

I thought I could take the freebusy URL and import it as a remote calendar to achieve this goal, but it doesnt seem to work.

Folks interested in the topic of this thread may wish to view (and vote for) Bug 37836 – RFE: external web access to multiple users' free/busy times, viewable on a single page
