Default firefox under FC5 cannot access demo site

I am wanting to try out the Zimbra demo site, but when I enter using Firefox-1.5.0.3 under Fedora Core 5, I get as far as the metallic grey "loading" page. And there it stays...

I also tried using IE under WinXP, and it was able to get straight it.

I do have firefox extensions such as NoScript, but have expressly allowed *.zimbra.com, so that shouldn't be the problem. Gmail works - so that should mean Ajax in general is operational for me...

Any ideas?

Jason

Have you ever tried to enter the site before this time?

Clear your cache, and disable the extensions and lets see what happens.

Interesting results.

I removed all extensions, cleared my cache and restarted. No difference.

Then I created a new Unix account, logged in and entered using firefox. That worked!

So it appears that there is something else within my Firefox profile that is stopping this site from working. However, as there's no way I can afford to trash my FF profile (I have YEARS of information in there), I guess I won't be able to test Zimbra. I can say that I know of no other Web site that I can't use fully use, so something is going on here.

(no matter what it is, this must either be a bug in Zimbra or in Firefox)

Isn't there an extension that will allow you to use opera tabs?

Also, now that i'm typing this, i can't remember which version of FF you're using, but I assume it's the newest.

Can you open the JavaScript console and see if any errors appear in there?

BTW: What extensions do you run?
