Zimbra 6.0.1, 32-bit
Ubuntu Server 8.04.3 LTS, 32-bit
I create a Briefcase, and then share it as "Public".
When viewing the URL on another system, it loads a blank page.
(Viewing a non-Public folder does prompt for login.)
When I right-click the Shared folder and view its properties, it does NOT list the Public shares.
When I go to Preferences -> Sharing, it DOES list the Public shares.
Why aren't the Public shares "sticking" ??
Edit:
I don't know where to start looking for the solution.
I tried searching for "public share" and found nothing on the forum that seems like the same issue.
I set up two systems:
Ubuntu 8.04 LTS w/ Zimbra 5
Ubuntu 8.04 LTS w/ Zimbra 6
Shares work fine under Zimbra 5.
We want to use Zimbra 6 because it allows us to create documents directly in the Briefcase. Well, shares do NOT work under Zimbra 6.
These are set up the SAME. I just spent a lot of time comparing settings on each, and nothing is set differently. Was Zimbra 6.0.1 really released with Shares broken/non-functional?
double edit:
Ok, looks like it is a known issue with 6.0:
Bug 35459 – Cannot revoke share with Public
Public Shares don't work.
