Receive external mail but only show in webmail

Hi folks,

I wonder if it is possible to NOT display/download the external mailboxes when using IMAP with a standard mail program such as Apple Mail, Outlook, etc.

Currently, I have set up a zimbra account and want to display emails from several external (non zimbra) accounts. This is running fine but all those mailboxes are shown as folder within the folder structure and thus emails are getting download to my Apple Mail program where I use IMAP.

No matter whether I use IMAP or POP3 for external accounts.

Is there any way to
a) only display the external account via the webmail interface
b) stop showing/download the external account via IMAP

Hmmm, anyone ?

I used DeskNow and alo eGroupware before and both of them had this feature. I wish I could get this set up with Zimbra.
