Default @ and euro signs

I reckon this might have been brought up before, but if I, using IE, try to add a @ sign or a €, euro sign, to an email, I get weird results. Alt-gr+2 (@ on Finnish keyb layout) makes my text bold and of style "heading 1". Pressing alt-gr+e for the euro sign, the text becomes centered. Neither character appears in the text box. Changing the encoding over to unicode or such seems to have no effect.

On Firefox there are no such problems, but switching over is not a viable solution either, because the cursor is not visible.

Any ideas how to work around this?

Addition: this only happens while composing html messages. Doing alt+64 does yield a @ sign correctly.

Can you file this in bugzilla with the exact keyboard and layout settings. We may need to add debug to trap the exact key codes that your sending in this case and make sure they don't conflict with any shortcuts.

You could try running with ?debug=3 and see if that gives any clue to the key codes the app is receiving.
