Unhappy [SOLVED] Need to re-import deleted items back into Zimbra web client

My university uses a Zimbra web client for its mail. Today, I added the account to Outlook but overlooked the "Leave a copy of the message on the server" box. Now, 5 years worth of emails are gone from the web client, which I use constantly.

Is there any way at all to re-import the emails from Outlook back to the Zimbra client? My university's support desk was not able to help me at all. Please help; I'm absolutely desperate.

Best,
Rachel

Welcome to the forums

You could create a new folder in the web client so that it appears in Outlook and then copy all your emails into that. Hopefully that will sync them back to the server where you can then move them back into their respective folders.

Default Will this require...

IMAP? If he is POP'ing that won't work. Just a thought.

True, alternatively the OP could save all the emails out to a .pst and ask their support team to import them back in again from the admin GUI ?

Thanks so much for this suggestion! Apparently, our university allows us to connect through either an IMAP or POP server, so I changed to the IMAP one and did as you suggested.

Now that I've got everything in the new folder on the web client, how can I copy the messages to the inbox all at once? When I check the box in the toolbar above the messages, it only selects the 100 messages being shown at that time. Since I have >5000 messages, copying them 100 at a time is kind of tedious.

Is there some way to select all messages in the folder, rather than the 100 shown? (Again, this is on the Zimbra web client, not Outlook.)

Thanks again for the suggestion!
