Default web mail not staying on-line

All,

I am a simple user, not technical in any way so please forgive me in advance for my ignorance!

My issue is that despite having Zimbra web mail options box to check for mail every two minutes and having the green 'online' button on zimbra does not automatically get my mail. Whenever I hit theget mail button it get s my mail. Is there something I have done wronG?

What operating system and browser are you using? How long have you let it sit before clicking the "Get Mail" button? I have had a few reports over time from my users of similar issues, but I haven't actually seen it myself.

Just as something to try, go in and change the setting to something other than 2 minutes. I'd suggest going higher rather than lower. If there is a bad setting in there for some reason maybe changing it will reset it.

Still having this issue- ie despite being online and having set how frequently Zimbra is to get mail, it does not- I have to hit the get mail button.

Code:
su - zimbra
zmprov gc default zimbraMailMinPollingInterval zimbraPrefMailPollingInterval
default is the standard CoS so if you have a different one assigned to your account you will need to change that for the command to report correctly.

markg, this has to be fixed by the administrator of your Zimbra server.

It's a (very) simple task to perform but it's not user-doable.

Thanks for the assistance so far but I need more help. I am a one man company so I am my own administrator. Can anyone step a non-technical lawyer to do this. I have not changed or done anything to my Zimbra set up - what I am using is stock standard so I am a bit puzzled as to why I need to do this.
