Searching Contacts via New Message causes unresponsive script

A user at my work here gets an error daily, if not a few times a day. This error is caused by composing a new message then trying to type into the "To:" field where your contacts should auto-populate. Usually, if you do this fast, you will get a wait message but this isn't the case here. An unresponsive script is thrown.

Any ideas?
