Default age in days message filter

Howdy,
I would like to filter emails and move them to folders based on how old they are. This does not seem to be something that Zimbra can currently do. Or am I wrong? Say, for example, all emails that are more than 7 days old go to a folder called "Old" and emails that are more than 30 days old go to a folder called "Really Old." Any suggestions for a workaround maybe?

Why not use the search function to create a saved search for the emails you want? That's far more powerful than filing mail in folders.

What if age is the determining factor? I have a user that wants to be able to delete e-mails older than X days in certain folders. How can we accomplish that in ZWC?

There are a couple of threads in the forums that describe how to do that, please search.

Default Not finding it

I'm not finding these threads you're referring to. It's easy enough to create a search that will find messages before or after a certain *date*, but I haven't figured out how to tell a search to find messages older than X days so that the search doesn't have to be modified every time you want to run it.

Default Any work arounds yet?

Hi,
I have the same question as the original poster and like them, I have been unable to find a solution by searching the forum.

The reason I want to do this is because our phone system emails the voice messages to the user as a .wav file. I want to be able to have Zimbra automatically delete these after 30 days so that the email system does not get filled up with old audio files.

Any help is appreciated.

Dean
