Divider between message list and reading pane

When using the Zimbra in IE7 and recent versions of Firefox, the horizontal divider between the list of emails and the reading pane can be adjusted higher or lower. But the position is not retained from one session to the next. It would be very helpful if this divider could have a persistent position across sessions.
