Cursor for New Messages defaults to Send

Hello,

When I hit "New Message" to create a new message "Send" in the upper left is highlighted. I have to click in another location to get the cursor to appear. Can this be changed so that the cursor automatically appears in the "TO:" field?

The same is true when I reply to or forward an email message. Can it default to the "TO:" field instead of the Send icon?
