Default [SOLVED] Email addresses etc in signature

So I'm trying to format an HTML signature but the editor seems to not like any links except http ones. I tried to put a mailto: link in but i end up with http:// stuck in front automatically. eg mailto:blah@blah.com becomes http://mailto:blah@blah.com

I haven't got to my skype:// link but I expect the same to happen.

Is this the expected behavior? Am I doing something wrong? Or is a bug worthy of being logged?

You may wish to vote for Bug 27398 - Access to HTML source of signatures from web-ui. You can change your signature from the command line as detailed in the RFE which would allow you to put in the mailto and skype links.

Ok I've voted for it. For most users though it would be nicer if the enter link field would detect if you'd entered a non HTTP URL and then not interfere.
