I'm wondering what it really means to have a certain browser supported. I've used Opera with Zimbra a few times and it works just fine, the first time I logged in it automatically selected to the "standard" (HTML) interface but when I switched to "advanced" (AJAX) one it worked Ok for me. I will say Opera is not my browser of choice but I haven't had any problems with it when connecting to ZCS 6.0.6 and 6.0.7, iirc.

I know in a previous version of ZCS there were some problems with Chrome (or rather Webkit) on the admin console but on the user side I didn't see any.

Default Free in France with Zimbra

my internet provider (FREE.FR in France) has changed to ZIMBRa for webmail, I am a veteran user of Opera (since 2000) and I am much bothered

I'm not very technical, but observe that problems are the same with Opera on Linux and Windows.

Looking forward to an early solution

Pete

They're also my ISP and they've been using the Open Source version of Zimbra for some time.

You need to give some details about what the problems are.

Unfortunately we are not able to provide much of a solution in these forums, you should report any problems to Free or post in their news groups, you could also file bug reports on the specific problems (search bugzilla first).

The problems, of course, may be because Free are using an older version of Zimbra and I don't see any problems using opera against a newer release of Zimbra. What happens if you switch to the HTML view in Opera?

Default Opera

Thanks for your answer.

There are multiple problems,
I can not slect the various directories (Inbox etc)
The buttons don't work, (new mail etc)
The tabs dont work (Address book)
I can open email in the inbox
I can select the calender on the left and get to the planner.

In short, it is unusable. In IE all is well. (except that it is IE)

I also asked if it works using the HTML version rather than the Ajax (advanced) version?

You could always use Firefox, it works fine with that and as I mentioned Opera works with more recent versions of Zimbra.

Default Thanks but no thanks

FIrefox? and doing without the password wizard, having new instances of the program pop up? no more speed dial?

I was not really looking for an answer here, I would just like to be counted as an OPERA user. Yours is certainly not the answer I was looking for.

That's fine and it's your choice to ignore any answers I've given you. If you want to make any impact on the product or it's support for Opera then, as I said earlier, feel free to file a a bug report about your problems. Just posting comments in these forums will have little or no impact on the product development and you need to file bug reports for it to get to the attention to developers.
