Default Checkbox for Request Responses on Appointment detail

What is the purpose of the checkbox for Request Responses on Appointment detail page? I search the end user documentation and did not find it.

To send invites.

In GnR (6.0) there will actually be 2 boxes there:
-Request Invite Responses.
-Send Notification Mail on Changes.

Couldn't you implement this new feature in 5.0.15... ?

We would need this - to not send notifications on changes - very badly!

It makes no sense to inform attendees, when i change the status from busy to out-of-office.

looking foreward GnR ...
