Default Shared Calendar / Organizer Always Busy

I am using the OpenSource Version Zimbra for testing.

I have setup a Vacation Calendar and Shared it with a few people, my confusion comes from when someone who I shared the calendar with creates an "Vacation/Appointment" on the Shared Calendar. The Free Busy, it is showing the organizer as Busy, and not the person who created the appointment?

Should I be creating a different type of Calendar for everyone to post their vacations?

Thanks You

Default Calendar as a Resource

I see in some more searching that a shared Calendar is granting permissions on the behalf of the owner of the calendar, so that is why it is always showing the Organizer as busy, and not the person making the appointment.

I found an example to use a Resource for a Vacation Calendar, have people post their vacations to their personnel calendar and include the resource. I did try this, and it would be an option.

Are there other suggestions for a "Group Type Vacation Calendar" .

Thanks

Have you ever figured out a way to resolve this issue? I'm in the same situation. I swear I had it working perfectly in a different test environment. In my scenario, I am trying to make a Company calendar that is shared throughout the company. I'd like for people to put up their own events for all to see and to also give everyone an idea of their free/busy time. I cannot for the life of me get this to work properly. I would think that this is something that is a necessity for a shared calendar. I'm about to upgrade to 7.2.0 on one of my test environment servers and hopefully that fixes it.

Otherwise, I would love to find out how to get this to work.

Woot! Validation at last...

Have a look at One entry, multiple calendars where I describe this.

Hope it helps
