Default Inbox new mail notifier incorrect

'm not sure if I should report this as a bug or not, but it's definately wierd. In the normal mail view of Zimbra, I get an indicator next to the word inbox showing (9) messages new.

Yet this inbox is completely empty.

I tried hitting "Get Mail" assuming that it was just out of sync, but i'm still experiencing the problem.

The user who is having this issue is also POP'ing their mail out using Mozilla Thunderbird.

Attached is a picture describing the situation. It was excessively cropped to fit in with the very tight attachment requirements on this forum.

This is a bug we just can't figure out how to reproduce it. If you restart tomcat it will clear the session and reset the unread count. It seems that this is caused by a combination of using the web UI and POP. Although we don't have a way to reproduce it every time and thus can't figure out how to fix it.

Thanks for the heads up. It's a minor thing that is not really worth restarting the server for.

I can see how this would be frustrating to try and debug. If you want to take a look at our server, let me know, but otherwise i'm sure you'll get it eventually.

We are using IMAP only and the web UI only and I have seen this problem. We are not yet in production so there is very little user activity at this point. Once I restart Tomcat and clear the count, I'll try to see if I can recreate it.

Default should be fixed in 3.2

This is probably bug 7266, which is fixed in 3.2!
