Default Zimbra Contacts

There is a problem when I input contacts to a shared address book on Zimbra webmail. It lets me put the details for a new contact
in, but won't let me edit or change anything (the edit button doesn't
work). Also, the name of the contact comes up with a big black strike
through it.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forums,

The edit button grayed out usually means you just have viewer permissions (rather than manager or admin). When you create a new contact it shouldn't let you select the shared address book in the drop down on the right under job/company.

Black strike is usually a deleted item. Did someone else move it to the trash? (Though it's interesting that you'd even see it at all then, unless they shared the trash folder with you as well).

What version is this? Type this in the AJAX client search bar:
Code:
$set:get version

Default Solved

Hello Mike,

Thank you for all your help but what had happened is the contacts was found in trash for some strange reason. Simply dragged it back into contacts and all is working fine.
