Default Zimbra and sunbird?

Hi

How do I setup Sunbird to connect with Zimbra's calendar feature? And does it sync both ways?

Cheers

Thumbs up successfully sync both ways with Sunbird

I started Sunbird version 0.3a2 with fresh settings.

File -> Subscribe to Remote Calendar -> Select Remote ->

* WebDav
location: http://server/service/home/accountname/calendar?fmt=ics

Give the Calendar a name: zimbra
Then you will be promted for your username and password.

Now you will see existing calendar entries from zimbra.
Create a new event (Make sure you select the calendar zimbra !)
Now if you view your calendar in the zimbra UI and refresh, you can see it's synchronized

I am also trying to allow users to view and share calendar events from thunderbird and zimbra. I am currently using Lightning, but is essentially the same as Mozilla Cal and Sunbird. I tried the same attempt of the WebDAV but so far says I can only use a read-only cal w/ zimbra.

Could you give more explaination to this address or example.

With our REST urls you reference you can only get read-only data. We don't have support for WebDav today.

got it working. wasn't adding mail2 before our server address. I am able to see calendar events from zimbra into sunbird, but can not add an event in sunbird and refresh zimbra to see it, as StefanD had stated he could.

Just replace the word 'server' the rest should stay as is.

How so if it is read only?

Is it read only? If so, we can not use webDAV as middle man so it is not read only?

eh...maybe off topic, but can we do this OTA with palms?

The latest release do have some support for POST'ing data. You can read about it here:

http://www.zimbra.com/blog/archives/..._via_re_1.html

We use this to migrate data, and maybe sunbird uses the right format. It's not something we've tested.

I'll ignore the Palm OTA question. Please start a new thread.
